My first camera was one made of recycled wood, made by my uncle when I was only 5 years old.
From my parents' stories, it was my favorite toy for many years. I "photographed" everyone by hiding behind the trees and waiting for someone to pass through my visual range.
Over the years, I immersed myself in the aspirations of my childhood and later life, and the device remained forgotten in a drawer of my grandparents.
Although I paid attention to economic studies, my soul was there, towards photography. Until one day, when my grandparents gave me a gift: it was the wooden camera from my childhood.
From that moment I left everything and bought my first professional camera at the age of 23 and devoted myself to family photography.
This choice brought me great satisfaction and fulfillment, but my biggest regret was that I didn't have photos when I was little. That's why I promised myself to give others what I didn't have.
Today, after 7 years of work, you are reading the story of a man whose goal is to bring the art of photography to the souls of all those who want to leave a legacy of memories that will last forever.
More than that, I decided to share my knowledge with talented photographers who have the same goal as me, and for this I set up a mentorship program in newborn and maternity photography.
On Facebook, I am the founder of the "Maternity & Newborn Academy by Elena Dumitrescu" community, where I guide my students to reach the highest level.
In my free time, I find inspiration in everything that surrounds me, and this leads me to another passion: that of creating props and unique outfits that feed my dream of making not only photographs, but WORKS OF ART!
